Script For Track “Anon”

Compatible with the new Tumblr.

This script has been tested and is fully functional on the newest versions of Firefox with Greasemonkey (4.0.1 and 0.9.1) and Chrome (11.0.696.65).

Have you ever wanted to know just a little bit more about where your anons are coming from? Of course you have. By clicking the globe icon in the top left of the message, this script lets you see where in the world they are asking from. How specific the results are varies from IP to IP.

Track Anon ask

1. Right click on “block” link and click (inspect element) for chrome user (view selection source) for mozilla

2. the source will appear / pop up. Highlight the “ip” address and copy it.

3. Go to this website : http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip-lookup and paste the ip address here.

Accuracy? for me 90%.. i dont know haha..

There are a variety of data sources to IP geolocation which try to target the end user’s location as close as possible. In the US the accuracy is better than outside the US.
